Frequently asked questions
What does "certified translation" mean, exactly?
Your translation ships with a signed Certificate of Accuracy — a statement that it's complete and accurate. That's different from notarized (a notary confirms the signature is genuine) and apostilled (a government authentication for use abroad).
Will this be accepted by USCIS, my school, or the court?
Every certified translation is formatted to meet USCIS requirements. No agency approves translators — "USCIS-approved" isn't a real credential — but if a US agency, court, or academic institution rejects your translation for quality or certification format, we re-translate and re-certify it free of charge, or refund that document.
Do I need notarization too?
Only if the office you're filing with specifically asks for a notarized copy. Notarization confirms a signature is genuine — it doesn't add accuracy. Add it at checkout if you need it.
How is a "page" counted?
250 words counts as one certified page. A 400-word document is billed as 2 pages.
Can you handle an apostille too?
Yes — add apostille handling at checkout. We manage the submission; the state's own filing fee ($20.00) is passed through and itemized on your receipt.
