Which do I need?

If a US agency asked for a "certified translation," certified alone is almost always enough — check the exact wording of the request before paying for notarization you don't need. If the request specifically says "notarized," add notarization. If the document will be used in another country, ask whether that country requires an apostille; we handle the submission if it does.

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Choose a service, configure the tier, language pair, and any add-ons, then add it to your cart and check out — online, 24/7.

Do I need to call before ordering?

No. The price on the page is the price you pay. Call only if your project doesn’t fit a listed service, most often for a large-scale localization project.

Can I order more than one document or service at once?

Yes — add as many lines as you need to your cart; they ship as a single order with one reference number.

How do I actually send you my files?

At checkout, choose to email your files to support@boomtranslate.com (a pre-formatted subject line is provided) or share a cloud-file link. Nothing is uploaded to this site.

Certification

What's the difference between certified, notarized, and apostilled?

See the comparison table above.

Is BoomTranslate "USCIS certified"?

No agency is "USCIS-approved" — USCIS doesn’t approve translators or agencies. Our certified translations are formatted to meet USCIS requirements.

What comes with a Certificate of Accuracy?

A signed statement that the translation is a complete and accurate rendering of the original document, issued with every certified order at no extra request.

What if my certified translation is rejected?

If a US government agency, court, or academic institution rejects it for translation quality or certification format, we re-translate and re-certify at no charge, or refund that document in full.

Turnaround

How fast is Standard delivery?

It varies by service — see each service page or the Pricing page for the exact number of business days or hours.

Can I get something the same day?

Rush tiers exist on several services (Certified: 12 hours; per-word services: 24 hours). Technical Translation has no Rush tier. Check the specific service page.

When does the clock start on turnaround?

Once we’ve received your files and assigned a linguist — typically the same business day for orders placed during office hours.

What if I need something faster than Rush?

Contact us. Depending on current volume, it may be possible — we'll tell you honestly either way.

Languages

Which languages do you support?

Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, and Vietnamese are listed with standard pricing; other language pairs are available and quoted individually.

Does the price change by language?

Yes. Spanish, French, and Portuguese carry no surcharge. German, Italian, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, and Vietnamese carry a +15% surcharge. Any other pair carries a +30% surcharge.

What if my language pair isn't listed?

Contact us — we'll quote it at the applicable rate.

Payment & Refunds

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit and debit cards, through a secure checkout.

Can I cancel my order?

Free before a linguist is assigned. Pro-rata for the untranslated portion once work begins. Non-refundable after delivery — covered instead by our 30-day revision guarantee and, for certified work, the acceptance guarantee. Full terms on our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Do you charge sales tax?

No — Louisiana treats professional translation services as non-taxable. Your order total shows a $0.00 tax line.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, and it varies by service — see the Pricing page for the exact minimum on each one.

Confidentiality

Who sees my documents?

Your assigned linguist and the independent reviewer who checks the finished translation — both under a confidentiality agreement.

Can you sign an NDA before I send sensitive material?

Yes, available on request — ask when you order or email us in advance.

Do you store my documents?

Files aren't uploaded to this site. We keep the files you send us only as long as needed to complete and support your order, and we don't share them beyond the linguists assigned to your project.

What happens to my payment information?

Card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored or transmitted by this site directly.
